21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
Honestly, despite mostly appearing as an MLB blog, I really like @themothyards. I know a lot of the content I pump out is MLB and the stuff I reblog or mention comes off of other MLB writers, but these guys. Just, wow.
They write Destiny stuff. And for those of you who don't know, Destiny is an fps shooter that's attempting to transition into an MMORPG-esque setting. It's innovative and fun. But has major drawbacks since it feels like it's in constant beta, with them figuring out how to remake themselves after splitting from their money-hungry corporate overlords known collectively as Activision. The thing is, though, the game has an immense amount of lore that's absolutely incredible.
What @themothyards does is write "grimoires", which are essentially short stories in the Destiny universe. The first game had iterations of this that you could find, then read on their website after unlocking them. Each one was a fantastic read, but they were limited by the game's content. These guys, though, they make their own grimoire/short stories and they are 110% spot-on in emulating the mythical element that the actual game writers have. Each one of their ficlets is stellar and a lot of them hit home.
I absolutely love them, and if you're a Destiny player or someone interested in sci-fi/fantasy lore, you should check them out.
