A bright afternoon at a local music festival was a once in a lifetime chance for Alison and her friends, Sheila and Joanie. They were smoking pot and dancing to the band that played. It made them feel on top of the world, even more so when Sheila dared herself to drop acid. At the same time, Alison was fine with simply being blazed and kept herself to the beat. There were times that she sang to Sheila, but interrupted herself with laughter, while the latter told her about how she saw stars.
When the opening band stopped playing, a bigger band was introduced. They were the Rolling Stones and Sheila was in awe of then, while Alison only noticed that they replaced their guitarist. It seemed absurd to Joanie and Alison that the Stones had a new guitarist right after Brian’s death. Then again, it wasn’t their place to talk about band members since they didn’t know them personally. Their wonderings dropped by their performance, which lasted for an hour.
After the hour was over, Sheila complained to them that she was hallucinating and wished to be taken back to the hotel. This caused Alison and Katherine to cancel their other plans earlier, so they had to direct Sheila to the backseat of their car and stay with her the whole time. It wasn’t easy getting through the vast crowd and even less so when they got to the parking lot, but they eventually succeeded with carrying Sheila over to the car, so she could rest. When she finally rested in the car, Katherine stayed with her, while Alison took photos of the scenery. She went back towards the crowd one more time to take more photos of the concert even though the bands were leaving soon. Somewhere along the crowd, the flash went off on the unknown guitarist as she bumped into him. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to do that,” she apologised.
