The Measure by Nikki Erlick was a buzzy book this year. “One day, people wake up to find a box at their door. In this box is a string that shows the length of your life - the full measure. The world is thrown into chaos. What does it mean? Do l open my box? Do we treat long-stringers differently from short-stringers? What will happen?” I didn’t know what to expect with this book. Lots of hype and buzz. Initially it was slower than I thought but by the end - once the storylines meshed it moved quite well. Erlick poses some interesting observations about choices and what’s really important - people or stuff. Would you look in your box? What would you do if you had a short string? How about doing some now? Hug your family today! In the wise words of Lewis Grizzard - “You know not the time nor place of your demise.” Have you read this one? #themeasure #nikkierlick #contemporaryfiction #dystopianfiction #readwithjenna #bookstagram #bookshelves #booknerd #readinglife #bookphotography #bookcommunity #bookblogger #sodacityreads #suspensebook #bookhaul #literarycrimefiction #homelibrary #thrillerbooks #domesticthriller #crimefiction #thriller #characterdrivenbooks #mysterythriller #bookrecs #botmtree https://www.instagram.com/p/CloFvrbLvEH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
