It HAD to be the Hawaiian shirt. No one is as happy as Mickey in a Hawaiian shirt. I love him!

I also love my new pastel pencils! First time using them and I still have lots to learn, but omg I want to lick his elbows that’s how much I love my new pastel pencils!!!

Whether you want to knit a scarf as fabulous as Mickey’s, have a go at screen printing your own Gay Jesus shirt, write an ode to Mickey’s iconic sleeveless self or some whump about his holey socks, drabble us up some magic about the dapper duo on their wedding or some angst about their days wearing yellow jumpsuits. Or maybe you fancy dipping your toe into the NSFW pool salivating over the boys shirtless, in boxers, swim wear, towels, or straight up in the buff…

This months theme is all about the things our boys wear - or the things they don't 😏

🧦 Theme 44: Iconic Outfits🧣

Today we have some free time because everyone has been so well behaved so as a treat I have some fun @gallacrafts worksheets for us to work on!

There are two versions, one is for a boy named Ian and the other is for a boy named Mickey and they need some help getting dressed.

Please take one and pass it along. You can use ANY material you want to colour the picture and then we can cut them out and hang them around the classroom for everyone to see!

Don't forget to write your name so we can remember who's is who!

Iconic Outfits

Mickey finds the grey Henley in the back of Ian's drawer, stuffed at the back carelessly. It probably hasn't been pulled out since they got out of prison; just stuffed in the drawer when Ian's clothes got taken out of storage. 

He remembers it, though. 

He remembers the way it looked with drips of blood on it when they fought at the dugouts. The way it looked later, when Ian grinned and told Mickey they'd never been on a date. 

He remembers how it looked on Ian at the docks, two years later still. When Mickey knew he'd come but didn't know what it would mean if he did. The way Ian had pulled it off over his head, and sealed the moment, but not the future. 

Now Mickey takes it out of the drawer and sniffs it. It smells of laundry detergent, mostly, but there's a faint hint of Ian underneath. He breathes it in, as if he can extract those memories, good and bad, bittersweet and tinged with regret. The moments they never got. Because of Sammi. Because of themselves. 

But it's different now. They're together again. Married. 

Mickey and Ian got fucking married, and the past that built them no longer weighs them down the same way.

Mickey pulls the Henley on and smiles. What's Ian's is his. It's a little baggy on him; partly just because Ian is taller, partly because it's old, well-worn and overstretched. But it's comfy and soft, and it's time to make some new memories with it.

We had @pillowbee's paperdolls that turned out to be the gift that kept on giving; a Gallacrafts Worksheets Challenge thrown down by @deathclassic and taken up by @darlingian @guinguin1984 @mybrainismelted and @callivich; @michellemisfit paid homage to Mickey's love of hawaiian shirts; @deedala gaves us the perfect prison jumpsuit smooch (and a teaser for the May theme! haha), @gallavich-annise gathered us around the bedroom warderobe for story time, and @swiftfootedachilles cross stitched an entire laundry line of fabulous fits!!
