This along with another great song called my “My Eyes are Burning”) is the only single The Maps ever had (on a 7-inch self-released by the Boston band in 1979) ... and it makes me sad. I wonder what happened? Why was more good music from this band not released? They'd been described by fans as a group of talented musicians and a great live band, and I only wish I could hear more!
But the song-- listen to it, again and again. It’s great. New-wave hijinx all around, great lyrics, all the right stuff. Very, very quiet recordings of this song (live) hangs out here on the YouTube with very few views and another really, really cool one called “Jump in the Closet”.
