this wasn't necessarily where barbie thought she would end up on her career path, but everyone had to make money somehow, didn't they? she was trying to pay her way through fashion school, and it had turned out to be a bit more expensive than she had originally thought. but it would all be worth it, in the end — when she became the ceo and designer for her own fashion line. until then, barbie strutted off the stage in her pink lingerie and six inch heels, brushing golden hair from her shoulder and beaming as soon as she laid eyes on mary sitting with billy at the bar. 'oh my gosh, mary! you didn't tell me you were stopping by today!' barbie brushes billy's shoulder in greeting, but sits on the other side of mary, crossing one leg over the other to get comfortable. 'i meant to come see you earlier this week, but things have been pretty busy around here,' she continues to grin at the other woman. 'it's so good to see you,' @themacabrebarbie.

steve had been so devastated for them to live with aunt janet that any talk of ghosts was as bad as lying. it was nice that they had each other, luke and her, even if it was just for a little while. she brought the tea to her lips and took a deep sip of the liquid. Mark's voice is soft at first, but he clears his throat and picks himself up with a bit more confidence. Milchick's told him a couple of times to speak up more-- that we're glad you aren't so angry any more, Mark, but there are certainly two extremes, and you've become too quiet in comparison-- and after such a comforting wellness session, he almost feels like a jerk for walking away without a "thank you" to the woman who facilitated it.

...well, besides the literal "thank you" he spoke before he stood up. But Mark's starting to feel like the routine expectation of gratitude is starting to make it matter less.
