GLXTCH is the name of my zine series. I make little square booklets of prose poems and collage and photos scrapped together. In this one, "Exist & Arrive" there's a lot of mini passages about the dark complexity of my relationship with men, with some taking on new tones in light of recent events. This zine project was supposed to be a monthly thing but maybe it's better not to tie it down to a schedule, who knows. I'm selling copies of both issue one and two this Friday at The Lit Exhibit. I'm absolutely thrilled to share that I am hosting and curating a second fortune cookie reading at @thelitexhibit: rituals! It's happening this Friday, 8-10 pm, in Brooklyn at Temporary Storage at @brooklynfireproof. The 12 of us selected a fortune cookie slip as the prompt for our piece. Taking the entire sentence, a phrase, a single word, english translation, number, or chinese character as the basis. The work can be a comic, monologue, essay, short story, spoken word, etc, just as long as it is read or performed in 7 minutes or less and the audience can infer the connection between slip and final product.
