I saw your reply to someone saying how fanbases on twt are 'bullying' ppl into buying and voting on twt..
I believe no one is extorting money. Armys are donating to fanbases w their free will. Buying paryoes have been a thing since the Beatles. Your explanation that funding and supporting has been a practice in music fandoms is accurate.
Can you explain what you mean by 'buying and voting means nothing to me' ?
I understand its a way of supporting the people we love. Of course, no one is less of an army for not being able to contribute money to fanbases and buy things.
But haven't bangtan come this far with armys support - voting for them for awards, requesting, buying and streaming their music.. isnt it all out of love and wanting their art to reach more heights? They know we do all of these things for them which is why they say 'Our army won an award' everytime
What did you mean by saying it means nothing to you? (I'm genuinely curious to hear you before I draw conclusions)
hello yes ofc i can explain! when i said "it means nothing to me" i actually meant it personally, about how detached i am to the whole mass buying and voting practice now (tbh just buying, bc i did use to mass vote and stream a lot a few years ago (in 2017-2019)) but now, i've detached myself from this system as i lack time and patience for it. i never participated in mass buying but i understand why it's done and that's why i told that anon that everyone has their ways of enjoying content, if u have money to spare then go on and do what makes u happy! i'm in no way invalidating the fans who do mass vote and buy regularly so our boys can win more awards. i hope i'm not being misunderstood here as i myself used to vote and stream a lot in my earlier army days 😅
