The agent pulled up a seat and sat down, her hand down on the table. She usually didn’t like to hear stories from the suspects, even those she eventually captured and handed over. He had lied about who he was to those he had worked with. Thought that he were working with the police but it turns out, he was actually working with the Four Horsemen. As always, it was a bitter feeling, being lied to. Bitter as a month old lemon that was sucked on repeatedly. That was painful, personally to her. “Why?” she asks, her tone coated in disbelief and total defeat.
this was the worst part of being exposed ---- a part of him must’ve known that day would come before long, and when it did, he would drag everyone who dared to touch with him. “ justice, ” he replied, acknowledging the empty chair on the other side but refusing to get comfortable. back straight, posture defensive; the soft look in his eyes, the quietness of his words conflict with the stance. “ i can do more this way. kill less people. ” the truth sounded backwards in his mouth, but it was the truth: never again in his life would he be expected to pull the trigger ---- that alone was enough a reason for him.
