David Bowie Teases New Music

Given the dearth of new David Bowie music in the past decade - 2013’s The Next Day notwithstanding - it’s a treat to hear anything from the now-reclusive singer. So it the spirit of something being better than nothing, Bowie and Sky Atlantic today, Oct. 6, posted an ethereal, 47-second snippet of a new track “Blackstar,” which serves as the title sequence for the upcoming European show “The Last Panthers.”

Bowie’s website makes no mention of whether any additional new music is forthcoming. “The Last Panthers,” and presumably the entirety of “Blackstar,” premieres Nov. 12.
