@the-last-command Another jump, another flash of indigo and chaos and swirling energy moving in ways that shouldn't be physically possible. But that was normal for Sid at this point, he was used to it. Falling into a new world was always a bit tricky and required some very quick reflexes however, Sid managing to only give himself a few scraps and bruises before coming to a stop and dusting himself off. His eyes glance across the area. Desert, deserted and or ruined structures in the distance. Apocalyptic world... again. It was becoming far more common than he would have liked and he had to wonder if that was becoming more and more the default of the greater reality around him. He was about to move on when he finally turned fully around and caught sight of the man a few feet away. It would take a few seconds before he recognized him and damn near threw himself at the man to hug him. "Ares! Holy shit, it's been months."
{ For New Vegas Verse } - "Were you a courier once?"
â Yeah, I took up being courier somewhere between Missouri and Kansas, my caps dried up so I had to find a source of income and it didn't seem so hard. I tried being a seamstress for a while and that worked out well enough but it's a very demanding job. â Toni leans back on her hands gazing at the fire between them. â And you? What's your story? Been in the military back in the Old World or did you serve with a branch of the NCR? â
Illustration by Tom Jung. âStar Wars: The Last Command.â April, 1993.
The first widely seen image of Mara Jade, on the book cover of Timothy Zahnâs conclusion to the Thrawn Trilogy, âThe Last Command,â published by Bantam Spectra. The cover depicts Mara Jade dueling Luke Skywalker's dark clone, Luuke.
In addition to Jungâs infamous âStar Wars: A New Hopeâ movie poster, this legendary artist and illustrator created dozens of posters for Hollywood during his illustrative career. âThe goal of poster art is to crystallize a film into a simple image â to catch a moment.â
The original art is currently housed at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Archives. The artwork is 27â x 36.75â and was created with acrylic paint, colored pencil, and matte opaque paint.
@the-last-commandâ sent:Â âI understand. Thatâs how I reacted at first.â
âIt doesnât really get any easier, either. Thereâs so many constant reminders of what used to be... How is anyone supposed to move on? The rubble hasnât even been cleared in most places, not like thereâs anyone to do that anyways. I just wish that I could live one day out of the shadow of that godforsaken war.â

@the-last-command continued from here
{ Redwoodâs sidelong glance lingered upon Warren. He turns to Warren, amused with the otherâs veiled self-assurance. A faint grin appeared then faded away. Warrenâs answer was once his, his chosen belief of what roamed inside him. Years of war, years of being alone with his consequences and sins destroyed that belief. } Â
âNever been afraid? Youâre a poor liar.â
{ The mercenary jested, awaiting Warrenâs reaction and reply. }
Warren didnât like the look flashed his way, nor did he like what felt like doubt from the old Ghoul. Fear, he thought, was nearly impossible to feel with his hardened heart. It was lost to him after his escape from the Legion, and instead replaced with the very darkness that Redwood accused him of being afraid of.
âI ainât got nothinâ to lie about. Yâknow that.âÂ
His arms crossed over his chest and his head turned slightly to look away to avoid the otherâs gaze. âI knew what I signed up for, and I like what I do. So thereâs nothinâ for me tâbe afraid of.â
@the-last-commandâ sent  2. an  abandoned  church  sits  desecrated  and  empty  ,  though  townspeople  will  tell  you  itâs  filled  with  troublemakers  and  squatters.  to  our  muses  ,  itâs  something  much  more  otherworldly.
The last report the NCR had gotten from their patrols was that the little one room church had been inhabited by Fiends. When Six cranes her head up to look at the steeple untouched by time, she remembers the scripture she had gotten from Joshua Graham. Something in her feels comforted to know she still has them.
âIt looks abandoned. Like it has been for decades.â Maybe the reports were false -- one of the remaining few that had been sent in by the Legionâs spies. Still, they need to do their due diligence and check it out. It takes Six a moment to muster up the energy to take the first step up the small wooden stairs that protest her weight with a loud creak. No traps so far, but she canât be too careful. The creaking wood seems way too loud as she tries the door -- unlocked.
âDid a lot of folks go to church back in the day?â
On November 9, 1985, W.A.S.P. released their second studio album, THE LAST COMMAND. In an attempt to achieve a broader audience, the band hired QUIET RIOT's producer (Spencer Proffer) as their sound engineer for the recording process, which resulted in a more accessible sound than their self-titled debut. THE LAST COMMAND was eventually certified gold and the band quickly became one of the most popular metal acts of the 1980's (touring heavily with the likes of KISS, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden). #wasp #waspband #thelastcommand #wildchild #glammetal https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp_DgFJgvtj/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1n23j6bf62bhb
