I donât know if it was posted or anything, but with the ending of 02TB, does the digivices being gone mean that the separation process from Kizuna wont happen? Or just that the countdown isnât visible?
It's never been posted (to my current knowledge), and unfortunately I'm going to have to hold off on specific analysis of the details until I actually have a hard copy of the movie I can reference, but my impression of the Digivices disappearing was that pretty much absolutely nothing substantially changes, both the good and the bad. The theme behind them disappearing was "at this point, they're merely symbolic objects correlating to something that now exists on its own." So the existing aspects of partnership happened to be using the Digivice to channel themselves through because that's how they started off, but now they can find other outlets, meaning the countdown is probably indeed still there but not visible or, alternatively, finds a different way to make itself visible anyway.
Marianne/Dimitri where they have a late night talk comforting one another.
Lord Lonato. The Death Knight. Thomas. The Western Church. And now this mysterious Flame Emperor. What could it all mean? Jeritza was recommended by House Hyrm. That very house was involved in a secession crisis encouraged by House Ordelia. And Thomas himself was recommended by House Ordelia. This unknown enemy has firmly planted itself in at least two lands, and possibly the Kingdom. But what of Brigid? Far off but not impossible. And Dagda? No...Duscur. It had to be them. Needless conflict and death, and for what gain? Who are these people and what is the motive to their actions?Christophe. Cassandra. Gustave. Father. Stepmother. Lord Arundel. The flashing memories of steel and ash begin to bleed into his mind, a stinging pain takes underneath the temple. Not unlike a jagged edge piercing him his skin, just like the clanging of metal back then. It makes his feet anxious with anticipation, but would he stagger all the same? All these questions roared in his mind and he sits idly at a table in the ballroom. There is a grand conspiracy in their midst, lurking shadows and everyone dances the night away as if they're all safe. It infuriates him. So useless. Can they not see it with their own eyes"Your Highness." And then there is Edelgard- "Your Highness!"The sense of force was now noticeable to him, as he saw Ingrid's emerald eyes stared at him worryingly as she pulled away from his shoulders. Taken back into his senses, he noticed the fork in his hand horribly contorted by his sheer force. "I'm sorry, Ingrid. I didn't hear you, I was...lost in my head. I'll inform the kitchen staff and replace the fork immediately." Sylvain patted his back. "It's all no trouble your Highness, I had hoped this ball would help alleviate our troubles..but Iâm afraid I was mistaken. You want Ingrid and I to take you back to your quarters? This night has not been very productive for me.â âI agree with Sylvain, your Highness. Please get some rest, and truthfully balls are not something I fancy.â Dimitri shook his head. âThank you, my friends, I appreciate the gesture but I think a walk in solitude will do just fine.â They exchanged their farewells and departed for the night, but Dimtri still feeling restless took a turn to the Cathedral. Aside from a few members of the clergy to keep maintenance of the incense burners, it was largely devoid of people. And to his left, he saw the wide cathedral door open leading straight to the Goddess Tower. No, no. It is just a superstition perpetuated by romantics, there is no truth to it. Even so...there isnât particularly anyone to walk alongside Dimitri. No one would ever willingly do so, anyhow. The more he thought about it, the more the idea enticed him. Dimitri had always placed great faith in the Goddess. Even despite all his turmoils and anguish, it must be for something no? What would be worse? To live in a world where all of lifeâs anguish is for naught? To see life as if there was no overseer looking down on the tapestry, directing its fabrics to some greater piece? No, there had to be some rhythm in this world. If Dimitri placed his faith in her and walked into the Goddess Tower, would she send a sign, that his wish will come to fruition?  Dimitri thought to himself. I suppose I too am a romantic.Dimitri ventured into the Goddess Tower, and to his surprise, it was hardly much to look at it. Vines draped into the stone, and much of the entrance was empty save a bunch of crates and simple maintenance tools. Aside from the small window letting in the dim moonlight, there was hardly much to see in this drab room. A sound approached from behind and Dimitri turned, He got a glimpse of a black phantom from the corner of his eye. Springing to action, he grasped a shovel by the wall next to him. âSHOW YOURSELF!â âIâm so sorry, please donât hurt me!â Emerging from behind the crate was Marianne, and resting in her hands was a small brown bird. âMarianne, what are you doing here?â âI could ask the same of you, Dimitri.â She simply replied, almost like she was trying to dodge the question. âWell..I..simply was in the area..and..I was hoping perhaps then-can we simply forget this ever happened?â Marianne nodded. âYes...Iâd think that would be best..â Both of them simply stood, saying nothing. Hoot.The birdâs cry jumped them both from the silence. âAn owl, Marianne?â âYes..Iâm sure you know of the legend...one man and one woman. There doesnât seem to be a restriction on the kind of man..so I brought a male owl.â He chuckled. âThatâs true...I should of that..â Dimtri looked over at Marianne, he had only spoken to her a couple times before but she seemed kind. And given what he had heard of her, not the one to talk about this incident to anyone. In a way, he felt at ease, knowing their meeting would between them. âTruthfully Marianne, I came to the Tower. Hoping the Goddess might show me a vision or a revelation. Iâm afraid Iâm quite in a bit of a loss.â He confessed. âI see...I certainly understand that feeling, I often feel lost. Without any sense of direction.â âYou do? Truly, how so?â âYes...â That was all she said. âForgive me, it was not right of me to press on for details.ââNo, itâs quite alright Dimitri...you didnât mean to.â Marianne placed her owl companion on the crate, where it began to groom itself. âSince youâre here...â âPerhaps the Goddess has ordained us to be here-â He cut himself off before finishing that sentence. âI came here, hoping for answers. To the recent events and questions, I fear something is coming and it seems intent on consuming us all.â Marianne nodded as well. âYes, Lysithea mentioned as much. To think Tomas, or whoever he truly is, might be connected to House Odelia. I just hope...I have the-âShe shook her head as she was on the verge of opening herself. âPerhaps we should just pray...together. For our friends and family, and good fates to come to us all, especially in our struggles.â A smile formed on her face. âYes..I think Iâd like that very much.â Dimitri extended out his hand. âI know we donât know particularly well, but if there is anything you need, Iâm more than happy to oblige.â âThank you..I..likewise to you as well. With all the mysterious figures, I fear there might be something monstrous lurking. I hope you keep yourself safe, Dimitri.â The owl from the crate turned its head completely around, itâs large black eyes stared deep into Dimitriâs own. It simply watched, and let out a singular hoot.Dimitri nodded. âRest assured, Marianne. I do not intend to be dying any time soon.âÂ
With the memes of âyour ships boil down to thisâ, how would you describe the ships that you really like?
I tend to like ships that focus on a sense of growth in and out of the relationship. Thereâs obviously a bias I got for shy guy/outgoing girl because Iâve always been the shy guy all my life. But in the case of my ultimate ship of Lewynâvar, itâs because it tickles all metrics of what I value. Angst, a deep sense of growth, a continuing drama and fleeting idyllic romance so close in their grasp, and allows me to flex my muscles in the subjects I like. The pairing is as much a character study as it is an excuse for me to worldbuild my interpretation of Jugdral.Lewynâvar allows me to do that. In a small snippet, I called Sety âYudic,â an old syncretism that by Lewynâs time has lost its original meaning. Yudic means just or righteous, but itâs a clear embellishment from Crusader times where they equated Forseti as an aspect/avatar of Yudu/Gran. I intend to do the same with Nova. Except Ethnic Nova sounds wrong. Ethnia Nova? Ethis Nova? Ethonia Nova? I also intend to have Silesian scriptures portray Neir as more of a pushover or coward, or reckless. Virgil did the same in calling Odysseus/Ulysses as âdeceitfulâ or how the Popol Vuh has a possible slander toward older Mayan practices. So the idea here applies. Sety and Forseti get major prominence in their respective scriptures, and the other Crusaders are there to uplift OG Sety by comparison. And when I say scriptures, I do mean that. There are multiple and each has slight authorial differences in interpretation and view of Forseti/Sety. Religion gets the full treatment in Learn To Fly, not flavor text.

people need to actually learn what âdeconstructionâ means before writing âdeconstructionsâ of a certain genre or tropes. It doesnât mean just âdoing the thing but this time itâs really dark and cynicalâ, it means to analyse it and then use the narrative to subvert or create commentary on that genre or tropes.Â
the irony of not understanding deconstruction just means that the dark and cynical take becomes the new status quo and makes media stupider, not smarter.Â
What is the name for Lachesisâs mount? How did she learn horseback combat? Does she have a favorite weapon outside of swords that she has mastered?
Thatâs a fascinating question because of our small data pool on Jugdrali mounts:
Fee: Annand, after her aunt
Karin: Hermes, myth-ref suitable to a clever & swift winged creature with a bit of an attitude
Eda: Kate (KATE?)
And I think thatâs it? So Lachy being Lachy one might assume her horsey has some grand name like Bellerophon or w/e but honestly it might be called something like⊠Kate. Anyway I havenât decided on a name for Lachyâs horse but I will need to when I get around to finishing The Other End of the Telescope.
As for Lachy learning horseback combat my base assumption is she wanted to learn from the bestâ Lord Brother, Sigurd, Quanâ but they outsourced it to Beowulf (or Naoise) for mounted sword-fighting and Finn for mounted lance combat. Ethlyn wouldâve helped Lachy a bit. In a continuity where she hooks up with Azelle they work on spell-casting together and Lex helps out with the axe training.
As for her alternate weapon⊠axes are very, very satisfying. I have an unfinished WIP wherein Lachy tries her hand at mercenary work and her signature weapon is the Silver Axe.
