Honestly, he was surprised he was even alive. There had been days of a terrifying nothing, a detachment close to death, clinging on to a thread like a balloon of contained magic roped to a prison he did not want to enter. It had been dark in there and full of pain so he fed power into it at a distance, allowing his body to heal. He remembered his name from the sob that passed his brotherโs lips.
Then something had gone wrong with the universe and he had slipped away. He didnโt know how long it had been, but he was back again and the process of healing continued. He found enough strength to take over his body again and located a half-broken pod among the shipโs debris. With it he had managed to land on a nearby planet. The impact knocked him out and sent him back into his comatose state, a Lokisleep of sorts.
The next time he opened his eyes it was to find himself chained up and very much not in the pod anymore. There was a woman watching him. His throat still screamed at him while it healed but it had done so sufficiently for him to manage words.
