I must say I really enjoyed this assignment and look forward to making more GIFs. In fact I will probably show my son how to make them.
These GIFs are from the classic comedy “The Jerk” starring Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters. This is one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies! If you have never seen it you really should!
As for the more technical aspect. I found it pretty frustrating that Photoshop does not have a better selection tool when trying to pull frames out of a clip. It doesn’t let you resize the frame, the adjustment tool is not very accurate and it really should have a timestamp. All of which would make the selection process easier. I also would add, I would like to learn how to add the layer from different parts of the scene into the same GIF and how to make the text appear and disappear in different frames of the GIF. I tried to make it work, but to no avail.. however I look forward to learning these skills at a future time.
