the snap of a twig behind him has him tense,   shoulders rising as he spins around to face the other.   though the sight of him & not a walker calms him momentarily,   it’s not enough to let his guard down.   he could tell that dale hadn’t liked the other,   figured it was for good reason,   too   ...   but he supposed that was their business & not his.   what really had glenn spooked was the lack of hair on his head.   newly shaved.   breathing hitched in the slightest,   the boy avoids the other’s eyes,   calloused fingertips rushing up to pull the cap down on his face.

       he shifts to settle more comfortably on the couch and gently pulls stiles to fit against his chest a little better.  fingers absentmindedly fiddling with the other’s as he sighs,  resting his chin on stiles’ shoulder,  arm wrapping loosely around his waist.    ‘  say it enough and it becomes a lot easier than you’d think.  ’

Frame all but sinking into the other’s embrace, an ever alleviated breath deflated the swell of his breast, the persistent buzz beneath speckled flesh seemingly stilling briefly upon being in Derek’s arms. ❛ ⎯⎯⎯ well, it shouldn’t be easy, Der, not anymore, at least. ❜ despondence coalesced with the utter bliss gracing Stiles’ lips, digits bringing Derek’s knuckles up to his lips.
