TASK 02
sometimes memories have the most unexpected way of creeping up on us. a specific smell, a particular sound, an experience so intrinsically tied to a long forgotten time in your life that theyâre almost one and the same â youâre just trying to pick up some milk from the grocery store or aimlessly listen to the radio in the car and a single reminder can send you spiraling, bowled over and mind overtaken by times long since past
or maybe youâre a dreamer, one plagued during the night by confusing and complicated experiences you canât quite piece together in the light of the day, the scene scattering in the morning air. youâre terrified and running along a dark, narrow corridor, something chasing you but youâre not sure why. your fear is compounded by the fact that your feet wonât do what you want â it feels like they are moving through molasses. the pursuer is gaining, but when it finally catches you, the whole scene vanishes...and you wake up. they say dreams weave in experiences from our waking lives, pull only from what has been experienced before ... but do dreams ever replay complete memories ?
as you lay there, maybe in a cold sweat tangled in your sheets, maybe snapping back into focus under flickering florescent lights, youâre left to consider â how much of that was real ? and how much was simply that: a dream ?
SUMMARY: your muse has had a flashback of their past life â a brief snippet of a life long since lived in a world quite unlike their own. what did they see ? how did it happen ? how does it leave them feeling ? was it a good memory or a bad ?
GUIDELINES
this task is intended to be a self para of sorts â a way for you to explore how your muse may react to memories resurfacing of their original greek life, or what those memories may be. there are no real strict content requirements: weâve given a few questioning prompts above, as well as some scenarios to consider, but feel free to choose to focus on the contents of the flashback itself, the emotions in the aftermath, or whatever you may have muse for. thereâs no real strict length requirements either !
that being said, while the task is more focused on individual writing, feel free to also write threads / starters based on this experience if you so choose
much like our previous playlist task, youâre welcome to complete this task at any time and itâs not mandatory to participate. however, please do keep in mind this task is more plot related than the previous and may link to future plot drops
this task, if applicable, does count towards ACTIVITY
