Charlie ducked his head and beamed a smile as he took out the dragon hide gloves. “How did you even know?” he asked holding them in his hand as he wrapped his arms around his father and hugged him tight. Family always knows.

“They must have cost you a months wage, you shouldn’t have”

Leaning against her dad, wrapped in a one arm hug, the redhead read along with her father the book he had found on sale. It was an old, probably outdated book, but it was a fun read anyway, and she enjoyed spending these small moments with her father.

Ginny gave the garment her father was handing her a rather dubious look, then looked up at her father and shook her head. “Dad, this is... not what I’d wear.” She tried, her voice a bit more gentle, though still clearly refusing to even try it on. A teenager afterall, Ginny would not be caught dead in an ancient style that would do nothing but clash with her hair, though perhaps Muriel might have been happy with how she looked in it.
