im gonna revamp the blog a little. i kind of lost muse for charlie when my drafts hit 55+ and kept logging off after lurking rather than rping at all and it was not healthy for me. it was my fault, i kept reblogging memes instead of telling myself to stop being a greedy hoe.

so like (or reblog if sideblog) if you want a starter from charlie weasley after i finished installing a new theme and rewording some things as well as dropping KJ Apa as his young FC and finding a new one for his school verse (i don’t like using problematic FCs). 

“So your p-plan is to take me out there to get covered in pollen, then? Lovely.”

Quirinus waved Charlie away dismissively, still smiling, but that only seemed to spur other wizard closer.

“Wh– Ch-Charlie, oh– Merlin, you can’t be serious–!” He started laughing before he could protest properly. Although he flushed with embarrassment when he turned his head and found himself met with a few stares during Charlie’s stroll out of the building, Quirinus didn’t stop grinning until they finally made it outside.

“I can’t believe you,” he said, sounding more scandalized than he really felt. That had been pretty fun, even if Quirrell felt utterly ridiculous slung over his friend’s shoulder like this. He hit lightly at Charlie’s back, craning his neck awkwardly to look up at the other wizard.

“I’m ch-charmed, really. Are you going to make a habit of ‘sweeping me off my feet’? …and are you going to let me down, or are we spending the rest of the day like this? Now that you’ve d-dragged me out, I suppose I could walk on my own.”

“Ha- you got jokes now?” Charlie gently let him down on the ground although the idea of just carrying him down the pub had been appealing for a moment. No, best to allow the scholar a shred of dignity really. “Oi, you could do far worse than be swept of your feet by me mate. I’m quite the catch, at least my mum says so-” he joked at his own expense good to see his school mate again. 

“So teaching, what is it like? Are the students responding well or is it more like trying to heard unruly cats?”

“Sounds like Harry is talking a load of bollocks to be honest with you mum.Do you honestly believe I would travel all the way from Romania just to somehow trespass in Hogwards’ protected grounds and smuggle a dragon out? Unlikely story-” Charlie mused avoiding his mother’s gaze. 

“Let alone convincing others to join me in such folly. Pah-”

“Auror Tonks. Does that mean I have to be on my best behavior or risk your wrath?” Charlie jested for it had been years since he had last seen his school mate, his once partner in crime and now here she stood with actual authority behind her belt...if Charlie ignored that she had tripped over the umbrella stand. 

“Have you been on a stake out yet?How does the new job suit you? Is your mum proud or chewing your ears off because she’s worried?”

“Well you do tend to drag on a bit,” Tonks said with a shrug. Not that she’d ever minded. She extended her own hand with a grin. “Cheers,” she said. “If it is a sweater, I’ll eat ice cream in front of you, so you can bask in the glory of my win. I’m just that thoughtful.” 

Tonks waited for Charlie’s guess, mischevious smile never leaving as he thought. “Oh no, I wish. Always in his head, though, isn’t he?” she said with a shrug. “But he’s not half bad looking. Bet he’d be a better pick than the one that did ask me. You won’t have to wonder why I said no. It was Stan Shunpike. Squirrely one a year below us, really pimply. Bit of a jerk, actually. Said he’d be doing me a favor by taking me. I think I’d rather snog the giant squid,” she said with another, more real this time, shudder. 

"Oh thanks mate, nothing like your loving supportive friendship to get me through the night-” Charlie huffed more as a jest than actual malice cringing as she revealed who had asked her out.

“True..but can you really be mates with someone you thought you want to grab and just kiss them till their lips are left bruised?” Charlie asked. 

Tonks wasn’t staring. She wasn’t. She was answering. Just. Give her a second. And Charlie hadn’t pulled his hand away. Tonks could feel his thumb over her skin as acutely as if she’d been bitten by a Doxy. Her hand curled a little more securely around Charlie’s as he gulped beer like a man dying of thirst. When she did manage to find words, cheeks as pink as the ends of her hair, Tonks eyed the table, the spot where their hands met. “I dunno,” she said slowly. “I guess I managed alright this whole time.” 

“No eggshells then,” Charlie said, and Tonks nodded. Charlie kept going, explaining that he’d never been interested in girls, or boys for that matter, and Tonks chuckled, nodding in agreement. “ And then the other evening I saw you I kind of realized I missed you,” Charlie continued, and Tonks found herself hanging on to every word, leaning forward the barest distance in her seat, only for him to change the subject suddenly. 

“Oh, um, colleagues, right,” Tonks fumbled, leaning back in her seat. “Well, my mentor’s a bit of a loon, actually. Your dad’s probably mentioned him before. Alastor Mody? Er, Mad-Eye Moody? He’s the one that’s been teaching me the past three years. It’s true that paranoia knows no bounds. I think he still thinks I’m a spy sent to take him out in his sleep.”

The only solace he had in his bundle of nerves was that Tonks seemed to be around the same mentality of just taking every moment as it came and not much more graceful than he. He had changed the subject merely as a way to not go too deep into how that spark made him lose sleep that night wondering if he had missed signs before and wasted time. 

“I’m sure if anyone can handle Mad-Eye it’s you. You were always creative and intuitive. And maybe a little bit too stubborn, you will prevail just fine” Charlie beamed a smile as he seemed to be smiling like a fool at her for the brief time they spent together. She leaned back and he leaned forward as if to replace the inches between them.

“It’s a kitten...a scaly fire breathing kitten” Charlie grinned all the while getting bitten by his baby, the Opaleye seemed far more interested in chewing Charlie’s hand than drinking her brandy. “I think I’m going to name her Suzie. Doesn’t she look like an Sue?”

I am even surprised you didn’t get up to some wacky adventure on your way from the kitchen-” True, Harry’s school years were behind him now but it was always an endless source of amusement back in the day to try and guess the streak of days before Ron and Harry got in trouble, far too easy to try and tease Harry for it now.
