Kaa had always been someone Lilith had never had to hide herself from. Far older than even she was, but created just like she’d been, there’d always been an odd....comfort in finding someone of a likeness but who was beyond the reach of the False God. And who thought him as arrogant and controlling as she did. But he’d always been more positive, less...cynical than herself; due to experiences or nature, she’d been entirely sure, but it always made her feel certain that she wouldn’t be judged by him. Not for merely being who she was, at least.
And so, coming across one another again-- as they often, and inevitably, did through the various millennia-- Lilith no more felt the need to hide the softness with her son anymore than she felt the need to hide the violent retribution she’d committed to get herself precisely where she wanted to be. After all, what did he once say he thought about angels, even fallen ones? Spirits that were above themselves. Lilith always got the impression Kaa found them adorable...in an odd sort of way.
“I brought him back to life using earth,” Lilith explained, watching Adam crawl...or rather, drag, himself on the floor. “I thought if I could be made from it, then why not him?” She glanced at Kaa, “And we both know the False God wasn’t exactly being...original when he used the method himself”
