His chest was heaving and Rafael felt like his heart was going to beat out of his ribcage. For a split second, he wanted to reach out and hit his brother, to wipe that calm look off of his face, and it unnerved him enough to wrench out of the downward spiral he found himself in. Turning away, Rafael lets the gold in his eyes shine through, nails turning to claws and piercing his palms deep enough that a couple drops of blood slip through his knuckles. But he breathes into the pain, and leans into the wolf rather than fighting it as he used to, and the rage towards Landon ebbs away. âSorry,â he muttered roughly, fingers slowly unfurling and wincing as the worst of the wounds begin to scab over. âYeah, Iâm done.â
