colt leaving a few of his jackets and shirts at ryland’s place every time before he travels so ryland can wear them to sleep at night and be surrounded by colt’s scent and faux warmth…
and whenever they call after ryland gets home from work, colt always eventually asks “which one are you wearing?” because he likes imagining ryland in his clothes just as much as ryland likes wearing them
sometimes colt even arrives back earlier than expected and gets to surprise ryland by dropping by, using the spare key to sneak into his apartment and find him curled up in bed sound asleep in colt’s miami vice stunt team jacket
and then ryland gets to wake up to the real thing hugging him. gets to roll over and be drenched in warmth and breathe in colt’s scent right from the source and sink into the feeling of home
