The complete persepolis is a non-fiction graphic novel based on the life of Marjane Satrapi, an Iranian woman.  In chapter 3 The Water Cell Marjane begins to be affected by the changes in Iran.  From the bombing of her community, to her grandfather being imprisoned she became more open to intellect and she became more humbled. Margane’s parents however, are not picking sides. they chose to just investigate and be themselves.  They also begin to question the schools textbooks, and understand why it’s not helping the peoples revolution.  I could understand the same being that I find things to accommodate my life.
