This beauty by the great @thelesbiangaze now greets me every morning as I wake up. She’s next to a portrait of me by @katyagrokhovsky . Someday I would to love to have a giant space and one of Clarity Haynes’ giant oils from The Breast Portrait Project but in reality I am delighted to own this pencil drawing. She reminds me of my mother and of the warmth and quietness of her body. F is 15 and doesn’t scream at me the way I screamed at my mother. V is 10 and getting moody, hormones control so much of this. My mom would have really like my kids. I’m so jealous of my older siblings that had kids when our parents were alive. And John, the oldest boy, also became a parent after our parents died. And then he died.
