You’ll have noticed that this is very informal. We’re a private high school and our go-to lighting designers are unavailable, so we are casting the nets to try to get in some new talent. This could easily become an ongoing working relationship for subsequent shows. Message for more info and to get specifics.

Some days I wonder if I'm overly sensitive and just make an unnecessary stink wherever I go. I spend so much time on here that I forget that such things as gender & sexuality equality and positive cultural/ethnic representation are perceived by some as hard pills to swallow. I don't speak up bc I want to create problems without a solution (i.e. "well now we have to modify, to do it the hard way"), but bc to me it's so easy--and far superior--to change. But sometimes I think my workplace just sees me as a troublemaker or a complainer.

I'm sure everyone knows about this lady, but I really cannot rave enough about her. We used her papers in Guys & Dolls two years ago, and she is making us German papers for Stalag 17 right now. Reasonably priced, efficient turnaround, and both times she has creatively tweaked things to fit our needs. I cannot heap enough praise upon her.

By any chance does anyone have a copy of the Adrian Hall stage adaptation of Robert Penn Warren's All the King's Men? It premiered at Trinity Rep in 1987. PM me if you do and would be willing to share an e-copy. I'm happy to trade anything we have in our library. Thanks!

So the question is this--has anyone ever done anything with unfurling drops/bunting/curtains rather than flying them in? Most of the theatres I work with are small and don’t have fly capabilities. Is this even possible?
