The Amps “Pacer” LP. While a record collection can never really be complete, provided you keep listening to new music and appreciating high fidelity, back in 2017 I decided that with the glut of 90’s reissues coming out, and not knowing how long this vinyl revival was gonna go on for, I decided to focus on getting music from the 90’s I loved in either original press or reissue form, depending on availability and how close to my heart the recordings were. I wasn’t worrying so much about how the reissues were sourced, I just wanted to curate my vinyl collection into what I had built between CD’s, cassettes, and vinyl when I started my collection as a little boy. All of my collecting life I have been very good about listening to recent acquisitions pretty quickly, but life has been strange these past few years and I haven’t been listening to music as much or in the same ways as I used to, so while I was focusing on building, I ended up with this HUGE pile of to-thoroughly/properly-listen-to albums. I’d actually been filing them away in the collection so I knew how much space my wall had… and then I double bought an album over a period of 8 months and realized I needed to pull all the records I bought and just listen to them. I am just going through alphabetically so I don’t have to think. This is just about the start, there are actually albums ahead of The Amps in the pile, but I wanted to hear this tonight. I had this album on cassette and jammed it quite a bit in my 1987 Bronco II while delivering The Cleveland Free Times in 2001. #LP #Vinyl #Records #TheAmps #Pacer #KimDeal #TheBreeders #4AD
