I’ve just finished marathoning “The Alienist” and “Grimm”. Both on very different ends of spectrum regarding story. “The Alienist”, written by the same writers who wrote True Detective, remained very true to the story tropes and that style that worked so well in True Detective. The characters as a result was extremely intriguing and the time it was set in helps to limit their options within the story. “Grimm” takes the story of “Brothers Grimm” and twists it into a modern setting for a modern audience.
