@theagentcider Poppy sat at the desk in her diner, tapping her fingers on her mug as she waited for Joe. She had hired him as an advisor of sorts to help decipher the trends in buyers habits. While she was an expert in business she did have a weakness when it came to understanding how people worked. Joe helped with that. It wasnt time for their meeting quite yet but she was getting impatient, tempted to send Bennie and Jet to go and collect Joe so they could speed this up.

“Y’gonna do anything with that stick of yours boy, or am I gonna have all the fun?”

“I’m..... I’m sorry I’m not following....”

Johnny’s mustache twitched as he tried to suppress a smile. No, the new Cider needed the Strict Johnny Appleseed, not the good kind one. That was what he’d been telling himself ever since Ginger suggested the young man take over for him in the field. Not that he could ever keep the strict, business face that Champ and the others could still do so well. But, there was an attempt as always.

“Not very subtle though, is it?”

As his husband wraps his arms around him, he blinks a few times and looks up at Joe. “Chicken?” he then shrugs before scrolling through some recipes. “I could do an apple-mustard chicken.... Alla vodka... maple-squash... or I could just do a basic roasted with some veggies...” he looks up at Joe again.

“So, what were you wanting to do for dinner tonight?” he asks as he scrolls through some recipes on his phone. “I mean I got a few ideas in mind I could make, but it’s honestly whatever you wanna do.” Alvie shrugs before looking over at Joe, chewing the inside of his cheek a bit as he waits for his answer.

Things had been getting tense and it looked like fight was going to break out. Every muscle in his body was tensed and ready to... well do something. Maybe defend himself? He didn’t know, but when Joe suddenly gently pushed him behind himself, Alvie blinks rapidly and looks up at the other. He’s unsure of what to say.
