Are you Human?

Ah, well. Huh. Ginti opened his mouth, closed it, scowled, and then opened it again. He settled on, âMmm,â and poured Isaac an extra drink. He didnât even try to rub any metaphorical salt in the metaphorical wounds - Isaac looked pretty miserable.
Ginti didnât even think Isaac was capable of such a thing, but he shouldnât have been too surprised in his line of work. Oh, the surprise didnât come with the action itself; almost every living thing kills other living things. It was more of a physical sort of thing. A point which brought up his next question:
ââŠare you a human?â Ginti asked.
Isaac accepted the silence and the drink. Looked like the ever sharp Ginti was even at a loss for Isaacâs actions. He was a killer, an assassin, trained by Aeon to do away with those who threatened the time stream. Sometimes it was for something major, like trying to alter the course of history, other times it was simply a person who should have died but hadnât. It had been the latter for Isaac today making it especially hard on him. There was some justification for killing a person who sought to change everything without know the consequences, or causing catastrophic levels of harm to the world (not that Isaac agreed with the death penalty to begin with). A person whoâs only crime was existing though was something else, something that couldnât be justified, yet Isaacâs back was to the wall.
âBiologically speaking, yes.â Isaac took the drink and downed it far too quickly. âEmotionally, at this moment, no...â He flopped against the counter with his head making a âthudâ upon impact. âOw.â
