Ava encountering Simon's Still Life in the Backrooms, but it takes on the warped visage of what he looked like to her through the porthole glass, with blue-grey skin and a ghastly, fun-house mirror look. It cries and won't look at her and lashes out if she gets too close. This thing is a coward. Flighty and erratic.
Simon encountering his own Still Life, but it's the Shadowman who never speaks, yet chases his footsteps. Retraces them obsessively. Simon is always having to move to keep away from it, because it won't stop watching him.
Ava encountering her own Still Life and it's a highly efficient and vicious murderer, who has harsh shadowy markings on it from all the times she had to look at herself in the mirror after another convict death. This is a dangerous one.
Simon encountering Ava's Still Life born from his own mind and seeing nothing but a wide, round, blind eye from the shadows. It's voice sounds like the radio, and boy does it love to talk. It sounds like listening to poorly AI-generated speech of what Ava used to sound like, and none of the words make sense. It's super creepy.
I haven't seen the Backrooms movie, but this feels right. Send post.
