Models and Friendships || Ariel and Lucia
Ariel had never in her life been partners with someone other than Finn. Teachers always put them together, it was home things worked. Maybe it was the scared look on her face when they said one of their names, or the end product that was always above and beyond what was expected. No matter what it was, it was something that had always been. Ariel wasn't sure why this teacher had decided to separate her, but the shocked look on her face and Finn very loudly saying 'What?' probably didn't help the situation. The teacher had muttered something about making changes and learning to work with people, but Ariel had stopped listening.
She'd never really tried to make friends before, not that she wasn't friendly because she was, she'd just never needed friends. She had Finn and Finn was all she needed. Now though it seemed that she didn't have much of a choice. it was time to expand her horizons. The girl took a deep breath and pulled the cookies out of the oven, deciding that even if this girl didn't want to be her friend, at least they'd have something to stuff their mouthes with so there was no need for conversation.
A knock on the door startled her out of her thoughts and she set the tray on the counter. She pulled the oven mitt off her fingers and tossed it on the counter while she moved towards the door, tossing it open with a smile. "Hey, come in, make yourself at home. I have all the stuff in the kitchen, so we can work in there or the table or the coffee table in the living room, whatever you think would be best. I don't think I've even built a model before."
