Oh, it’ll change! But I don’t think my interest in Whouffle will. I like to keep a positive attitude, and since I just… I FREAKING LOVE PETER CAPALDI OKAY… the announcement of Peter as Twelve is really the best news for my little Whouffle heart.

I think Peter and Jenna will have great chemistry, and perhaps the writers will be interested in exploring a different dynamic with the Doctor and Clara in season eight because of whatever their chemistry may be, but I think they’ve laid a foundation that they can’t runaway from without completely bastardizing the story. 

The interest they’ve shown in each other is expressed in such ways that I feel the writers et al would have to go out of their way to eradicate. The Doctor’s feelings for Rose didn’t change when he regenerated from Nine to Ten, so I don’t know why Twelve would feel any differently about Clara than Eleven did. And Clara might be a little less taken with Twelve’s appearance than Eleven’s at first, but 

1) Twelve may be “old,” but that is a fucking handsome man.

2) When you really care about someone, any ‘strangeness’ in their appearance becomes something you love about them. Take Amy’s little spiel about Rory in The Girl Who Waited for an example.
