But the thing that sent this archivist, as a past recipient of Cherie's foolishness, into a laugh riot was The Rub, a six-episode comedy series set in a "legitimate" massage parlor that customers mistake for an illegitimate place of business.

Gordon Mason was a misguided customer in an early version of an episode, but the producers have since cut him.

Cherie plays a dingy receptionist.

If you're looking for something terrible and Netflix isn't doing it for you, watch the first episode of The Rub, "Not the One You're Thinking Of." The final episode is "The Whole Happy Ending Thing."

And while you're watching, just remember that that actress you see, Cherie Mason, used to clothe all the BJU Ensembles in the 1990s. She inherited the job from Beneth Jones. She used to be the gatekeeper of clothing morality. She used to be the one to judge if you passed modesty muster. She decided if you looked holy.
