Words can’t describe just how disappointed I am to hear that Gareth Evans is not going to work on The Raid 3. I was really hoping for a third film.

THE RAID 3 Not Happening Anytime Soon
The Raid 3 will not arrive until 2018 at the earliest according to Gareth Evans. "The Raid 3 is not going to be happening anytime soon. Ideas in my head. Nothing written. No set date. 2018/19 possibly." It's reassuring that Evans has ideas for a third installment of the action film franchise but a lot can change in three years. That would certainly get a lot of comic book and martial arts fans behind the project. As far as the "ideas in Evan's head" for The Raid 3, he previously mused that if the The Raid 2 picked up two hours after the first film, it might be interesting if The Raid 3 started three hours before The Raid 2 finishes.
