“ oh, no. if you’re expecting me to cook, you’re helping, ” he could trust her with almost anything and everything — his pistols, his father’s safety, his life. but . . . he doesn’t know how she’d fare in a kitchen, with a vegetable peeler. may as well find out now. “ whatever’s on hand, i’ll figure something out. but you’re doing the dishes — no take backs. ”
