i haven’t done much writing but here’s a excerpt from one of the short stories in the foreboding.
so in this story, tammith, a cleric, is trying to locate her missing boyfriend who ran into the woods after a game of truth or dare. this collection of stories are based off my dungeons and dragons, fate and fifth age characters and the campaigns i play. so all of the stories are true events
David Sylvian’s Gone To Earth is overstuffed, ambitious, self-indulgent and brilliant, yet how could you possibly end such a record? Why, let’s conclude it with a glorious ambiental guitar track by Robert Fripp that is accompanied by a recitation of Robert Graves’ The Foreboding! The harsh situation, described by the author of I, Claudius, is, as you can hear, in complete opposition to the halcyon stillness of the instrumental and it leaves you puzzled. I assume Sylvian does this to end his double disc journey with a point about the world being complicated. He is trying to get to the most crushing realization of them all – there are no easy ways.
