I talked to the boy on the phone yesterday at like 2:00am. He was on his way home from U Street. Hanging with friends. I told him that I was going to be awkward on the phone, so when I said hello he said hi back like he was Smeedle/Gollum from LOTR. And it wasn't awkward at all. We haven't hung out yet but I'm okay with the pace things are going.
I got his number last night and when I asked he was like "I don't know why I didn't ask you ages ago." And I deleted my Tinder account just now. Feels good man.
Okay, like I'm honestly really over Tinder, especially now that they got this wild TInder+ thing going. Which I would never pay for and it's so wildly disrespectful that it costs more for people who are over 28.
But I haven't exchanged numbers with...I don't know what to call him. Valentine's Day/Three Weeks Guy. I think I'm gonna ask him like tomorrow or something. Yesterday we had the "I really like talking to you" conversation, so it's nice to know we're on the same page there. Haven't heard from him much today but, people get busy and I don't expect him to just disappear now.
But I think the app has run its course, I don't even swipe that much anymore, I've just been logging on to talk to him mostly.

So at this point I've been talking to this guy for like a week and a half. Conversations haven't slowed down at all. We talked about hip hop and Kendrick Lamar and racism and police brutality. He gets this shit, it is fabulous. But we haven't exchanged phone numbers or made a plan to hang out yet. There was one point where he was like "we should go somewhere and count how many white people we see with kindles" but we never actually set a real time or day for that. I'm pretty okay with the pace of things at the moment but I also don't wanna be talking on this app forever like... And I know he likes talking to me too or else we wouldn't still be talking 10 days later. Eh. Idk.
One thing I'm never gonna do on Tinder is tell a guy he's attractive. Like, I swiped right homie, that's enough.
