Aug 2012 - Current Disney CEO Bob Iger has recently called a press conference, bringing about several significant changes to The Walt Disney Company. The most significant of which is an enormous re-branding campaign that will take place throughout the next six months.
"Kids today just don't care about the classic Disney 'style'", Iger said "so we're redesigning our entire empire with a hip, modern feel."
By mid-2013, Disney will have been renamed to The Dizz, and their flagship character Mickey Mouse will be phased out in favor of the new Willie The Rat, an ultra-cool skateboarding rodent with a pair of shades, a take-no-crap attitude and a love for some gnarly cheese. Further changes are expected to be announced over the following weeks.
The Wrong Kind

The Dizz usually gets a lot of love for being a great neighborhood bar, and I’m here to tell you that it’s the wrong kind of love. I’m not fond of it as a regular hangout – mostly because the crowd can be so inconsistent. You show up there at the wrong time, and you’re liable to have some loud, obnoxious people playing loud, obnoxious music and spouting loud, obnoxious opinions that can be, let’s just say, icky. And, lately, many of the patrons are people who wander over after taking pictures of the Ace of Cakes place looking to buy memorabilia. Lame.
But, what the Dizz does right? CRAB CAKES. They also have a very charming and hard-working staff that I adore and a few old school neighborhood regulars who are quite adorable themselves. But, back to the crab cake: it’s one of, if not the, best in Baltimore. I’ll admit that it’s been quite a while since I've made a concerted effort to try every crab cake in town, but I've definitely had the famous ones as well as many others here and there. The Dizz’s tops them all.  It’s a perfect fist-sized cake filled with lump crab and just the right amount of filler – not so much that it overwhelms the crab, but enough so you can get the hint of Old Bay mayo that makes our city’s crab cakes so special. And, even the broiled version is so golden brown and crispy on the outside! I don’t know how they do that.
In conclusion, I love the crab cake at Dizzy Issies.
