It’s been nine months or so since I last looked at Book One of The Wolfcat Chronicles. Since then I’ve read a lot of books from other authors and experienced the meticulous process of professional content editing for Fried Windows. I’ve learned a lot.

Will be in O-town the next couple of weeks, but taking my laptop etc with me so I'll be connected. The substantive editing phase for publishing Fried Windows with Pandamoon Publishing begins next week. I can't wait to begin, not that I think it will be all fun but I know at the end of it a lot of people are going to enjoy reading this book.

Alert! For those friends who have given me critical feedback in the past but have never read Fried Windows, this is written in a very different style, one I think is a voice much more like my oral storytelling making it as fun to read as it was for me to write.

The reason for being in Orlando the next couple of weeks is I'm dog sitting for my son. He's taking Erica, his girlfriend, on a couple of trips. So expect some candid pics of Rocco, Rob's American bulldog. Otherwise, while there I will be working on revisions of my other unpublished novels. I will also be setting aside some time to work on the new novel-in-progress, Becoming Thuperman.

Today I reformatted 'Stranger Within' a book that is very loosely based on my years in Austin at UT Austin. It is largely set in Austin and New Orleans. It is a prequel to Fried Windows for the main character of both books. It will likely end up as two books just because it is over 200k words. There is a breaking point in the plot toward the middle. I wrote the draft in 2007, which was a fairly productive time for me. I ended one retailing job and was selling cars while doing some pick-up work in marketing and looking for another management position. I wrote five draft novels that year including The Attributes and Being Sold.

By contrast this year has been less productive for new material, largely because I'm revising older unpublished material. Back in January and February I wrote And Extreme Departure. After that I revised eight books, one of them was Fried Windows for which I needed to write four new chapters prior to submitting. I plan to finish the draft of Becoming Thuperman before Christmas. I am reserving a lot of personal time for working on Fried Windows, so I am expecting to produce about a chapter a week of new material.
