okay heres some info dump about the arg (hopefully with no spoilers?)
the starting off point is going to be a friend reaching out to the narrator of the story (Protector, since thats my handle everywhere except for instagram and also this specific blog) to help investigate the strange occurances in their world
the themes are going to be centered around perception, specifically self perception and how it changes based on what other people think of you
im hoping to build a couple of websites to go along with the arg portion. ive never built a website, but ive also never run an arg so :P lots of firsts
theres going to be more than just our POV character and narrator. im trying to narrow the current cast down now so that i actually have a chance of making this, but currently theres about 7 characters involved in the arg, 8 with the narrator.
the current plan with the arg (for how i want to run it) is to actually upload all parts of the arg roughly by the end of April, and then let it play out for 3ish months before uploading the video about the arg.
im also debating if the narrator fully solves the arg in the video, or if i leave it for people to discover more. i personally like the latter option in the content i consume, but i know others dont enjoy it.
edit: just to tack on, this is also not going to be my only arg. i have 1.5 more ideas im rotating, but i want to finish this one first.
swear to god i do not know how to do anything BUT multi task. how am i script writing, playing minecraft and getting ready to go to work all at once.
if we count the fact that im listening to a lecture in the background, im also fucking STUDYING rn. this cant be productive. adhd final boss

Okay :D I want to talk about it so:
I'm not a big horror fan, but I am a big tragedy fan. When I do interact with horror, I love having it be a tragedy too - as in, these characters could have escaped. They could have just done one thing differently, they're smart and capable. But what they chose to do made sense, and was right at the time. Think Magnus Archives.
On top of that, my favourite ARGs have been the ones with very little supernatural elements. Think M4tch80X for Wifies and honestly most of Zachobuilds' channel (I would recommend, for the sake of my ARG 'Finding the player who did this to him' and also 'People on this sever have been going missing')
Don't get me wrong - I adore the supernatural ones. I think they're amazing, and have some really fun ideas. But, as much as I like reading them, writing those sorts of stories just. Doesn't excite me all that much. I think it's much more fun to see how I could make it work with as little supernatural elements as possible, as a bit of a challenge.
Finally, I'll end this with the question I asked myself when I first came up with the idea.
What if you were the monster in someone elses story, but you never even laid eyes on them?
