I come to you with another offering for Nea day
Did Nea really kill the previous Noah?
Hear me out. Aka I'm confused because of different translations.
I know that Nea was nicknamed "the 14th" by the previous generation out of spite. They also refer to him as a 'traitor'.
This part I'm not sure about - again, due to the difference in translation.
Example 1. When I read it with this translation I got the impression that Nea couldn't escape his fate of the Noah memory awakening within him, hence why Wisely compared it to what Allen was going through. Also the drawing on the left seems to go well with what Wisely is trying to explain - that these memories will eventually consume the host and there's nowhere in the world to hide from it.
Example 2. The translation is different and imo implies something entirely different as well - that Nea was on the run from the other Noah and fought hard to escape them. (I don't know how the drawing on the left would convey that interpretation but ok.)
Road, the person who definitely knows the whole truth as she was the only survivor, said that Nea was “different” from the rest of them (Noah).
So I can definitely see why people would think he’s the one who killed them 35 years ago. I mean he planned to kill the Millennium Earl so I don't think he would be incapable of killing the rest. But recently as I have been re-reading the manga, I noticed this: two different translations, again. I mean, I understand some minor differences between translations but this? I mean, this is huge. I don’t know Japanese so I don’t know which one is the correct one but perhaps someone has noticed this as well and can explain it to me.Â
Example 1. Clearly indicates that the 14th killed the previous Noah, or at least Wisely.
Example 2. Only mentions the 14th's death.
Does anyone know if there is a quote/flashback that confirms it was actually Nea himself who killed the Noah 35 years ago? It's such a bummer for me because I read a lot of theories about dgm and when people mention that Nea killed the previous generation and now I'm like "the math ain't mathing"...
I would be grateful!!
New pfp???
It turns out that I never posted THIS 3,14 sketch
Nea is a lil cockatoo that annoys Tyki
