A lot of time has passed us be we never grew apart—we keep on growing closer and closer together and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I would love to spend all my life with you and only you. I love that you picked a pink rose for me! You know I like roses the most and I know you told me you wanted to get white ones but Pink is also good! I love it a lot! I will keep it and press it once it dries out 💕

We went out on a date last Thursday for our 10th Monthsary.

While we hung out for coffee at Bo’s, I let him play with my iPad and then he drew that.

He said he’s not good at drawing, but I’ve seen some of the stuff he’s done. He’s a nutritionist by profession—part-time woodworker, baker, cook, keyboardist, and babysitter—and I say he’s also a frustrated artist.

That drawing of me is just one of his jokes.

i’m not always adept with words, hyung. i don’t always find the right thoughts, or string seamless coherence where prose meets poetry. i don’t yell until my throat runs dry or match the energy of a hundred burning suns; i think silence is a virtue and find beauty in empty canvases. but trust when i say that every word i speak, when they’re for you, carries the weight of the world behind them. 

when i’m with you, i see the world differently. you’ve given me new appreciation in the small things; you’ve helped me find enjoyment in the silly things, the serious, the melancholy. you inspire me to expand my perspectives — stand on top of a desk and befriend objectivity from new angles. i hadn’t considered this before. perhaps i should.

with you, i feel renewed. there’s smiles in my days and steadiness in my steps because there is always, always something to be excited about. home is a being, after all. i’ve found it. i’ve found you. 

so, even though i’m writing this far earlier than needed, i hope this little something shares with you my heart’s inmost sentiments. a new piece for every day of the month ahead — just a collection of thoughts, and prose, and scribbles that come to mind. except this time, every single line is dedicated to you.
