My favorite character was Amethyst immediately, because I get her so much (for one, my room is always a disaster area) and I love her big-sister attitude to Steven. My hobbies are games and karaoke (my fave song for that is Shut Up and Dance). Questions for you: favorite song (SU and otherwise), and biggest mystery entering S2?
I think I’ve said this before, but thank you for your service! I can’t imagine trying to teach high schoolers how to tie their shoes, let alone math. I have to imagine you’re the younger, cooler teacher that the kids really appreciate.Â
My love for Amethyst is no secret, and I really love seeing other people claim her as their favourite, too. She’s a wonderful character, and like you, I really love seeing her as Steven’s big sister.
I’m also jealous that you have the guts to do karaoke, because I don’t! Shut Up and Dance is a wonderful pick - that song was over played, but I still enjoy hearing it. Any time I’m riding in my car and it comes on the radio, I can’t help but sing along and dance. I just looked up the video for the first time, and it’s so silly - love it.Â
Favourite song SU-wise has got to be “Stronger Than You” - there have been a couple other good ones, but how can you compete with that? Non-SU, right now I can’t stop listening to “I Love Love You” from the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack as well as “Tears” by Clean Bandit and “Swim” by Dan Croll. I have a really hard time picking tracks, clearly.
Biggest mystery going into season 2 for me is probably that mural in the temple we see in Serious Steven. It’s so detailed, and I guess it has something to do with the war, but I don’t understand it at all. I’m also really interested to see what becomes of the “Yellow Diamond” name drop! I’m collecting a lot of questions I have as I rewatch the series, and I’ll be posting that sometime later this week!
