uhhh i had to think abt this for a min. i see them as different but sometimes they kinda mesh together, and i don’t rly like either. obviously there’s gonna be some possessiveness and jealousy if you’re in a relationship, but there shouldn’t be that much. and i think like, a lot of fics are written where the jealousy/ possessive behavior is too much. if you’re doing something as simple as talking to your bf’s friends and he gets jealous and has to “punish” you, then there are some underlying issues that need to be verbally talked about. it’s just not a healthy relationship at that point. and obviously it’s different if one of you feels ignored bc you’re talking to someone else, but on the other hand you both should be allowed to have and talk to your friends. a healthy relationship is built on trust and communication, and if they’re jealous based on the bare minimum and get angry at you, then that relationship is lacking trust. w the possessiveness, idk i just kind of feel like it’s more abt one person claiming the other as their object and it’s more like a prize?? idk if i’m making sense but :/
