From where he was laid up in bed, he could see through the open door that the clinic was not busy. There were three nurses sitting at a big desk under a sign that read Nurses Station. Occasionally, a doctor would walk out of one room and into another or someone would pass by pushing a wheelchair or a gurney. No one seemed overly concerned that his pain killers were wearing off after only an hour. Not a surprise, everything down here was watered down or cheaply made.
If one wanted the good stuff they would go Topside. If they could afford it, that is.
Gritting his teeth, the young man reclined himself back against the single lumpy pillow he was given and tried to relax. It would be another few hours before he was released. Not a full twenty-four hours since they'll eventually kick him out for the next poor sod that came limping through the doors but that was fine with him. He rather get him and sleep this setback off before his shift on Tuesday.
The sound of heels clicking against the cement floor caught his attention then, peaking one eye open to see a woman in a pink dress and auburn hair pulled back into a long braid. Brows pinched together with worry. Ah, wonderful.
"It's nothing... I popped my shoulder at the factory so the doctor popped it back into place. Should be good as new in a few days." More like four to six weeks but Aerith didn't need to know that. "How did you find me anyway? Did something happen with your flower cart?"
