Fic Ask Game
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu
#77 âIn your dreams, pretty boyâ
âSo, why did you bring me along?â
âWeddings are a big deal, boy wonder. And I want to look good next to you.â
âYou always look beautiful.â
Stephanieâs smiley face peered around the curtain. âOnly in your dreams, pretty boy. But thank you.â
Tim perked up, âWelcome!â
âBut this is different. We need to look like a unit.â
âWe need to match?â
âWithin reason.â
Tim laughed loudly, disturbing the other shoppers, and Stephanieâ grin disappeared round the other side. He was being a good boyfriend, carrying Stephanieâs shopping bags, patiently standing outside the dressing room as she flung dress after dress over the curtain railing. Soon enough she poked her head back around the fabric, hair tousled from all the dresses sheâd tried on.
âDo you know what colour Selinaâs flowers are going to be?â
Tim looked down at a sequined monstrosity she had dismissed immediately that he loosely held. It was orange. He wasnât sure he had ever seen Stephanie in anything orange before. He wasnât sure if he wanted to.
ââŚBlue?â He guessed.
âBlue?â She asked, incredulous. With one eyebrow raised, Tim knew she wasnât having it.
âWhite?â
She narrowed her eyes. âYou donât know do you?â
âNo.â
She huffed, tugging the curtain shut again. Two dresses that he didnât get to see later, Tim heard Stephanie sigh, defeated.
âI think today is a bust Tim.â
He shrugged, picking up the assorted dresses sheepishly, handing them over to an assistant.
âNever mind Steph, we have time.â
âYeah butâŚâ She emerged, wearing a casual little white sun dress. She tugged a shoulder strap into place and grabbed her little bag, slinging it on her shoulder. âI donât want to let the side down.â
Tim handed her one shopping bag, then took her hand.
âNo, no. Donât even let yourself go there.â
âWell, I canât turn up in a paper bag.â
âLet Alfred pick you something.â Tim said as they made their way through the department store. Something caught Stephanieâs eye and she tugged them over to the lingerie section. Tim gulped, but tried to stay focused. âHe has good taste. And itâll fit if you give him your measurements. He buys us all our nice stuff.â
âSo, I can see. But you know I like to do things myself.â She muttered, inspecting some plain t-shirt bras. Tim hovered, not sure what to do with himself. He politely stared at the back of Stephâs blonde head, deliberately ignoring the underwear that surrounded them.
âYou can go for a wander, Tim.â She excused him, âIâm not gonna make youâŚâ She paused, a twinkle coming into her eye. âActually.â
âHuh?â
She twirled around, skirt flouncing around her thighs. âGo pick me a bra you like.â
Tim blinked.
âWhy are you like this.â
âItâs not a punishment Tim. Go on!â She laughed, mood improved. âIâll wear it on a date night.â
Tim blinked, then dutifully wobbled off. Sadistically, Stephanie laughed. It was always easy to get him worked up, he was just too much of a gentleman to do it unprompted. She stared at a duo black and white pair for a good five minutes until Tim returned, thrusting a hanger into her hand. His face was flushed pink, but Stephanie was delighted.
âOh! Strappy!â
Timâs pink skin turned red, his ears looking sunburned he was so embarrassed. Stephanie ignored it - and the fact that he was holding his breath - and inspected the piece. Nodding approvingly, she looked up across the space, catching the eye of a floor assistant.
âExcuse me, Iâm sorry, but does this have any matching bottoms?â
Tim turned purple.

TimSteph, Dialogue, 6 :)
Fic Ask Game - âThis is bad.â âYou said that already.â âIt seemed worth repeating.â
Tim liked to think he had a healthy enough ego to know when to cut his losses and run from a fight. Â Stephanie also had enough presence of mind to follow his lead when the occasion called for it, but she would snark and bite the entire way, unamused and peeved.
An undercover mission gone awry involving nightclubs, drugs, prostitutes⌠the whole shebang.  Tim and Stephanie had been volunteered by Babs, to which both had glared at each other sideways.
âYou want me to what?â Â Stephanie had pushed. Â Tim had rolled his eyes.
âOh, come on Steph, you figure it out. Â Who do you think goes to these sorts of clubs?â
âLadies of⌠ill repute.â
Damian, who had been reading in the corner, didnât even look up from his book, stating, âNo acting required then.â
Stephanie had thrown her workout towel straight at Damianâs head, to which Tim had sniggered.
Honestly, Tim and Stephanie were not Dick or Bruce.  Their acting skills were mediocre at best, and admittedly they were mistaken for undercover cops rather than Bats⌠but still.  They had barricaded themselves in one of the rooms, bodies slammed against the door whilst angry men with guns tried to kick down the metal doors.
âThis is bad.â
Tim nodded his agreement, looking for a way out. Â The room was garishly decorated hot pink and magenta, and a bed with an actual love heart for a headboard sat in the centre of the space. Â Timâs stomach rolled uncomfortably as he realised what this room was probably used for. Â He ground his teeth together.
âDiscreet they said.  Just observe they saidâŚâ
âThey were hurting that woman!â
âOh, Iâm not disagreeing!  She needed help.  Just⌠not the brief we were given.â
âYeah well things never go to plan, and you just have to go with the flow.  Itâs allâŚgood fun.â
âHahaha. Â No.â
She was going to push back, when the sound of clicking and stomping reached their ears.
âBlow the door down!â Came a voice from the other side. Â Tim and Stephanie paused their pushing against the metal.
âOh boy.â
âCan you hold it?â
Tim moved away without waiting for her to respond, looking to the window.  It led down out into an alleyway.  If they could climb up to the rooftops, theyâd been in the homestretch to safety.  Dick could have a go in their place the next week or something.  He was the better liar, he was the better spyâŚ
âMaking a plan, are we?â Â Stephanie asked, half listening to the commotion outside.
âAlways.â Â He lifted the window and poked his head out, looking for something to grab onto. Â Metal railing lined the building opposite and looked stable enough.
Easy.
He turned, a smile on his face, to encourage Steph to follow.
A large bang rang out, and the door got a hole blasted through it next to Stephanieâs head.  She gave the girliest shriek Tim had ever heard from her in his life, and she fell forward over her silly heels, face planting on the stained (grossâŚ) carpet.
âOh my God.â Â She said, utterly deadpan. Â Tim looked up, seeing two menâs faces pressed together, each with one eye peering through the hole. Â Receiving a rush of childishness, he stuck his tongue out at them.
They blasted the door again, the hole nearly large enough to step through then. The noise and rush of air made Steph scramble up to be next to Tim, tugging her skirt down uncomfortably. Â She whirled around, fingers clenching the windowsill.
âThis is bad.â
âYou said that already.â
âIt seemed worth repeating.â
âHmm. Â Out.â Â He said, pushing on her.
She tried to lift her leg but stopped when the fabric rose above her crotch.
âUhâŚYou first.â
âStephanie I really donât care if you are wearing granny panties under thereââ
The third bang blew the door all the way through. Â Stephanie froze, gawking at the crowd of angry armed men. Â Timâs protective instincts went into overdrive, and he shoved Stephanie horrifically hard by the bum, to which she plummeted headfirst out the window. Â Tim immediately jumped, just missing the bullets that began to be fired.
They both landed in the garbage as he had hoped for, Stephanie having rolled down the pile and straight into a run, not even looking back to see if he was following.  Tim caught up easily enough â the girl in the five-inch heels was not a very fast target â and soon enough they found a space to climb and disappear out of sight. Â
Stephanie collapsed on the roof, legs and arms splayed into a star shape.
âThat was bad.â
Tim grunted, smelling the garbage that clung to the both of them. Â He flopped down next to her, staring at his outstretched legs. Â A bit of a failed night, but at least theyâd helped that one girl. Â He laughed to himself, Stephanie eyeing him curiously. Â When he stopped, he looked over at her.
âSo, are you?â
Stephanie frowned at him, strappy top heaving with her dramatic gasps as she caught her breath.
âAm I what?â
âWearing granny panties.â
Her soft blue eyes froze. Â âI will kill you Timothy.â

rules: list ten songs youâve been listening to a lot lately and tag ten people
These are in no particular order,
1. Heavy - Orla Gartland : this song frigging breaks my heart, itâs so raw and honest and simple lyrics that hit close to home. The line âIâll never see that dog againâ could honestly make me cry.
2. Simmer - Hayley Williams : ooooh boy this song is a jam. Itâs angry and experimental and cinematic and clearly so so personal. Itâs such a cool venture into something solo for her. Iâve loved Paramore since my teen years, and always adored and admired Hayley. I cannot wait to see where her music goes from here.
3. What a Man Gotta Do - Jonas Brothers : a friggin BOP. I love the Grease vibes, a little allusion to the Handjive. I loved their new album. Iâm so stoked that the boys are back!
4. Into The Unknown - Panic! At The Disco : a Disney song done by one of my favourite artists? Uhhh, hell yeah. I love both the movie version and this one. Although I will admit, I didnât totally love Frozen 2....... but this song is just so fun to belt out!
5. Stana - Flight of the Conchords : This song is a whole story and it is funny as hell. Iâve recently rekindled my love for FotC and watched their (not so new, but new to me) special, Live in London, and this song was a notable highlight. Sometimes it gets stuck in my head, sometimes I just need a little laugh. I love their New Zealander humour.
6. Straight to Hell - Lovecraft and Sabrina Spellman : okay this song is just silly but itâs also a bop. I have no idea why they chose to make a song and music video to promote the new season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, but whatever itâs fun. It makes me wanna...... dance dance dance into the dark đś
7. Prom Dress - mxmtoon : I donât remember how I came across this girl, sheâs adorable. I found her on YouTube at some point. Sheâs quite young but her songs are still pretty relatable. I mean âIâd be the prom queen of crying was a contestâ?? So good.
8. Iâll Follow the Sun - The Beatles : Iâve been listening to The Beatles a lot lately for some reason, and this song just hits my feelings. Itâs so simple and pretty, and also really nostalgic for me. I donât know what else to say, itâs a classic.
9. Lose You - Noah Gundersen : this mans voice and his music always get me. Always so honest and beautiful. This song feels a little more mainstream than some of his stuff, but god itâs gorgeous. And the acoustic version kills me. At his concert a couple of months ago I bought a shirt that said âI listened to Noah Gundersen and all I got were these stupid feelingsâ and like...... yeah. That sums up the past 8 or so years of my life since I discovered his music.
10. (Iâm Gonna) Love Me Again - Elton John and Taron Egerton : what can I say, Iâm goddamn Taron/Rocketman trash. This song is so fun and empowering, and I love playing it over the speakers at work after the store closes and bopping around while I mop the floor. This song should win all the awards. Iâm salty about it.
@losinglara @phantomphoebe @kostimograftrish @lunalovelyandgood @yayponies @punkrockinchairs @edgefeather if any of yâall are up for it and idk whoever else wants to do it I guess lmao
thatblondeperson replied to your post: Because of how Tim grew up with no real adult...
