Floating letters is when letters move around on the page as you’re trying to read. It causes me to misplace where I’m reading as I’m reading it. This sucks the most because it plays off my ADHD issue of re-reading sentences over and over and over again to retain the content.

This is when Irlen Syndrome or Sensory Issues (or whatever you’d like to call it) makes it even more difficult for Neurotypicals to understand how ADHD actually affects us. EVEN AS ADULTS.

A lot of my teachers (and even my parents) could never grasp that my issue was rarely understanding the content, but instead processing what the content was in the first place.

Read words in a sentence backwards. The meaning is different than if read forwards, correct? Exactly. Now understand that reading words of a sentence backwards (or in my case in pieces) is how my brain processes all written content.
