Real OOC talk here. When @hotemperament first made Donald’s account we were actually both pretty scared to start writing this ship publicly. Like we were worried people wouldn’t like it, it’d bug people, whatever. But everyone has been cool with it and it’s even better to see people seem to enjoy our writing these two. I definitely don’t mind if there are people who don’t like it of course. I try to be clear that I write José in a relationship with Donald so people can choose not to follow if they’re not into that. But like I was super scared to get hate or something.

I was definitely to some level concerned people would feel like the ship is forced or self indulgent especially since we didn’t choose to show the development that would progress them into this relationship. But at least how we see it, these two would take a LOT of fumbling to get comfortably into a relationship and we just frankly do not really have the time for the 500 threads of development. As fun as it would be we got other stuff to do in life… Someday I might like to do a flashback thread going back to the past and seeing snippets of them transitioning from friends to lovers maybe if @hotemperament is interested. Maybe!

SO YEAH my point is thank you so much for being cool with this sort of thing. I’m really glad people get some enjoyment out of these two?? like super glad. Like I said, we were both worried it would not be well received. Everyone’s proven the opposite, though. Anyone who isn’t into it just politely ignores us and that’s great
