the music....., the music, the music, the music. Word play, rhyme scheme, delivery, metaphors...... the music. im tryin to figure out exactly what the music means now a days. The genre of hip hop, the so many different genres of hip hop. All those things still has a valid place in all types of hip hop. regardless of what you are saying, what you are portraying, those are some of the key elements of rap. Why does it seem that we now just lean on beats. Dont get me wrong the beat means so much, it has such a dominate place in the direction of the song. It can make you dance, it can make you think, it can make you move. But if all that was needed was the beat, there would be no reason for the mc, the rapper, the lyrical damager. We would have no existence if all the world could live off the beat. Keep your lyrics fresh, new, appealing to the audience. Let your flows have meaning to not just be carried by the beat....... but give meaning to the beat. #th3rdfloor
