TGSS 2016 Proverb

Thanks for being amazing! I can't wait for TGSS 2018!

- Actually getting to watch some roller derby! And watching my team play! Sadly my team lost both games but we put up a helluva fight and played really well. I'm so proud of my Witches! 💜 - When the Chiko Rollers played VRDL All Stars (and VRDL All Stars posted the highest score differential on record according to flat track stats) and fought valiantly. When the Chikos finally scored 2 points the crowd went wild - and so they should have! - Completing my patch collection (that I know of so far) and getting some more badges - I still have a few more teams to collect but it's coming along nicely! - Getting my super cool custom reversible armbands in the flesh! I love them so much 😃 I can't wait til the after party tomorrow night and watching some derby finals!

- Walking in the pavilion and feeling like I'd died and gone to Derby Heaven. There was so much awesome merch and skate gear for sale everywhere, and loads of derby all happening at once! - Seeing the new Radar Halos and pink Atom Poisons in the flesh!!! - Buying patches from various leagues to sew on a denim jacket because I love that #derbypunk aesthetic. I hope to complete my collection over the next couple of days! - Getting a pair of REVERSIBLE CUSTOM MADE (measurements, fonts, colours) ARMBANDS WITH MY NAME AND NUMBER ON THEM for $20!!!! Also magenta velvety booty shorts #fuckyeah - Some really close games!! (West Side Derby Dolls vs Central Coast Roller Derby United and Geelong Roller Derby League vs Northside Rollers, with narrow wins going to Westside and Northside) - The massive cheer erupting from the crowd when Reef City finally scored against the VRDL All Stars after a scoreless first half for them (RC). It was an absolute thrashing by VRDL though. Can't wait to wake up super early tomorrow to cheer on the Witches as they take on Devil State at 9am local (Adelaide) time!

WHAT ARE THOOOOOOSE?! New Radar Halos dropped this weekend 😮😮😮😮😮

I say it's Day 0 because Day 1 is tomorrow (Saturday): - Finally arriving at Blitz's house after being stuck in traffic for half an hour because a bread truck caught fire on one of the major freeways and everyone was trying to avoid it #burnttoast - Stopping for lunch at the Beechworth Bakery in Ballarat (not where the bread truck was going) - Smoking rabbit (#durrybun) - The Big Koala and its demon eyes - Getting some cups of free Bushells Australian Breakfast tea and biscuits at the Driver Reviver centre on the border of Victoria and South Australia - Small excited children at said Driver Reviver centre going on a holiday to Victoria from South Australia - The true blue Aussie Legends at the Driver Reviver centre doing good in the local community, serving tea and coffee, and making me feel so proud to be an Australian that I cried patriotic tears - The longest, greatest soundtrack of albums (I might make a playlist with a signature song from each album) - Finally arriving in Adelaide after 10 hours of solid driving (slash breaks)!!! - Being surprised and suspicious about how quiet Adelaide is compared to Melbourne - Making up an awesome derby name by accident - Having dinner and then having second dinner after the first one didn't satisfy me enough Can't wait for Day 1 of TGSS! Time for sleep now, I'm exhausted! 😌💤💤
