When: February 14th 2025 Where: The New York Palace

Welcome, Upper East Siders, to the Moulin Rouge... You're welcomed into the glamorous New York Palace Hotel to join your host, Logan Hunter, on a very special Valentine's Day! You're in for an enchanting evening of music, performances, champagne and romance, if you're looking to find it. Upon arrival, you'll receive a long stemmed red rose and a card to fill in with your name and one thing that you love. If you're looking to make a connection with someone new - romantic, platonic and everything in between - drop your card in Cupid's mailbox and wait until midnight. You'll receive a special delivery then of a hotel key card and your match's 'something they love'. Take a chance! Who knows? This could be the Spectacular, Spectacular! night to change your whole life! We'll see you soon... XOXO

Our Valentine's event will kick off on Friday, 19th September! You can make starters at the party any time from then - please use the tags tfrevent and tfrparis.

As always, feel free to post any outfits! There is no formal dress code but think glam, red satin, big feathers, top hats and loudly proclaiming all you need is love!

For the general vibe, imagine glitz, glamour, stunning entertainment from singers, dancers, acrobats... There'll be plenty of food, cocktails, overflowing champagne towers and at least one ice sculpture!

Please do let me know which of your characters are participating in Cupid's Match-Ups! Once I have everyone's names, I'll randomly pair up the couples, and you can start your threads together. Remember to pick their 'something I love' fun fact for your match to read.

TFR Winter Ball ↣ Plot Drop

Ella Fairchild was about to announce it was time for the waltz when it happened. The lights went out. There was a crash! A scream. Then in the blink of an eye, they came back on. But what was that in the middle of the room, surrounded by Ella's guests - their nearest and dearest associates and their families. Was it... a mannequin? In a suit!? On closer inspection, some guest bravely poking at it with the tip of their Louboutin, it was a mannequin, in a suit, with rope around its plastic neck. And then someone read the mannequin's name tag:

Howard Archibald

Howard Archibald. The whispers threatened to turn to uproar when suddenly everyone's cell phones started going off. Was it... Gossip Girl? No, Gossip Girl had never made anyone's parents make a face like that. Suddenly, the crowd was shouting, yelling down their phones, demanding answers! Shrieks of 'is that true' and 'get the lawyer, now!' echoed around the party. So, what happened? A number of powerful families had received word that their companies had been hacked. That their secrets were being leaked. That employees' good names were being dragged through the mud - true or not. Stock was tanking. Security was breached. And there was a message from Howard Archibald to each of them.

For hanging me out to dry. Was this just the beginning? Who had known about this? Nate Archibald? Anne Vanderbilt? The rumours were already flying as Ella Fairchild tried to salvage what was left of the night. One thing was clear: the holidays weren't going to be very happy for some.

OOC Information:

So, big yikes! You can now have your characters react to the above plot drop. Whether they're clearing out for the night, sticking around to see what happens, stealing champagne or grabbing a goody bag. Go for it!

If you would like your character or their families to be affected by Howard's devious deeds, please do! Families like the Bass', Hunters, Watts', etc. have been hit so please do hop aboard! If there are any secrets that have been leaked about your character's family or business, let me know and we can shine a big, dramatic, light on it!

The event will officially conclude on 17/2/25. As always, you can finish up your pre-plot drop threads for as long as you need. You can also do any December-y threads as well, if you want!

I will be posting a Holiday Themed task before posting the next IC Month Update - moving us into January 2025 by end of this month!

That's right! We are going to open up Original Character applications for non-members from today. You're very welcome to submit your own bios on our new OC app. I'll still be writing up new characters too (our character page is here) and I'm always around if anyone needs help or would rather I wrote their bio for them with the info they provide- either way, your OC would be around.

So, if you have a character that you just adore to write and think would be perfect for the scandalous and not-so scandalous lives here on the Upper East Side and beyond, shoot an app our way! We'd love to welcome you and plot with your wonderful character.

If you want any canon connections or family connections, just let us know and we'll make sure the appropriate players have all the information for giving their yes or no. Not to worry though, once you join, there'll be plenty of connection suggestions thrown your way.

Our plan for this event is to have everything come to its big finale at a party (of course)- one GG themselves couldn't miss. Before then however if you’d like your character to receive a text tempting them to derail the plan early, let us know! Also we may need a mole/traitor (gasp!) or two who absolutely will do anything to have their secrets NOT come out.

Ultimately, it’ll be totally up to each player what’s revealed about their characters but either way, it’s gonna be drama.

Guess who's just about to run to work... It's me. But! Before I do, here are some quick updates from your TFR modly team:

A new theme! Yup, we just gave the main a little trial makeover and we hope that you guys love how Extra*TM* it is as much as we do.

The end of the 2nd Gen AU event (to celebrate our anniversary, still #blessed!) will arrive at the end of this month. Afterwards you can of course continue your threads and use your 2nd Gen babies at any time for closed interactions! It's been so much fun to read about them all in this AU timeline! 

At the end of the month we'll also be doing an activity check-in! No one panic, we'll just send you all a wee message to see where we're at and go from there as usual. 

After, you'll see some fresh faces on the main! New bios are coming.

We will be planning the sequence of events that may or may not lead to the Gossip Girl takedown and the potential consequences of such a thing. Hold onto your designer hats!

General updates will be made on the main to our info pages, character graphics etc.
